Ahwar Nasir is a multidisciplinary artist and art educator, holding a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture. Working across painting, drawing, and embroidery, she explores themes of home, memory, and displacement. Inspired by her nomadic upbringing and frequent relocations, Nasir transforms fragmented memories into tactile and visual narratives. Growing up around her grandfather’s textile business nurtured her fascination with fabric, particularly muslin, whose fragility and translucency symbolize the fleeting nature of memory. Through embroidery, fabric manipulation, and drawing, she reflects on belonging, domestic chaos, and the search for stability amidst constant change. Her work has been exhibited at Koel Gallery, VM Art Gallery, O Art Space, and other notable venues. She has also participated in residency programs including “Always, from the Heart” and “Garmi.” Nasir’s work was also recently exhibited at Left Bank Leeds Gallery in the UK
